Brilliant Telecommunications Vice President of Marketing Speaks at LTE and WiMAX Backhaul Summit Hosted by the IWPC

Srinivas Bangalore to present on deployment experiences in end-to-end synchronization of IP backhaul

Campbell, Calif. January 21, 2010—Brilliant Telecommunications, Inc., a developer of next-generation synchronization and timing equipment, today announced that Mr. Srinivas Bangalore, Vice President of Marketing, will present at the International Wireless Industry Consortium (IWPC) in Atlanta, Tuesday, January 19 – Friday, January 22, 2010. Srinivas will be presenting on “Deployment Experiences in End-to-End Synchronization of IP Backhaul” as part of the IWPC workshop agenda – LTE & WiMAX Backhaul Summit, North America – Thursday, January 22 at the W Atlanta – Buckhead, Atlanta.

With the explosive growth of mobile applications and data usage, wireless operators are continually looking for cost-effective solutions to reduce the cost of traditional T1/E1 leased lines to the base station. Ethernet is being considered as the technology of choice by network operators worldwide to accommodate the increased traffic demands. The IEEE 1588-2008 protocol (popularly known as Precision Timing Protocol or PTP), has been viewed as a viable timing and synchronization solution for packet-based environments. Srinivas’ presentation will focus on experiences gained from real-world deployment of end-to-end IEEE 1588-2008 solutions in operator networks.

In its 12th year, IWPC‘s mission is to facilitate interactive communications amongst an international community of companies who have a common interest to work together and explore all wireless markets, products and technologies. The IWPC global membership base consists of wireless service providers, system companies and sub-system companies from across the globe.
