Charles Barry, PhD
President and CEO
Dr. Barry is a telecommunications equipment provider industry veteran and is a recognized innovator in multi-service IP networking. Prior to founding Brilliant Telecommunications, Dr. Barry was the founder of Luminous Networks, where he was responsible for the technical direction and innovations that enabled Luminous Networks to become an established fiber optic telecommunications equipment provider. Dr. Barry was a major contributor to the IEEE 802.17 Resilient Packet Ring technology and has authored more than 20 patents. Dr Barry also held management positions at Nuko and DEC. Dr. Barry holds a Ph.D. and a MSEE from Stanford University, and a B.S. in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Greg Hoffman
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Hoffman joined Brilliant Telecommunications in January 2009 from Sequence Design, Inc., where he was Chief Financial Officer and Board Secretary. He has over twenty-five years of senior level finance and accounting experience in the technology sector. Mr. Hoffman has held key management positions at both private and public companies including Luminous Networks, Maxtor, Symantec and Memorex. Mr. Hoffman holds a MBA in Finance from Golden Gate University and BS in Accounting from San Jose State University.

Doug Halbert, Jr.
Senior Vice President, Global Operations
Mr. Halbert joined Brilliant in 2008 from Ericsson’s Tandberg TV business unit where he was director of operations. Prior to that Mr. Halbert was director of operations, customer support and IT for Skystream Networks which was acquired by Tandberg TV in March 2006. Mr. Halbert has held executive management roles at Acterna and Agilent Technologies. He started his career at Hewlett-Packard/Agilent, where he held a variety of positions during his 21-year tenure, including vice president and general manager of Agilent's worldwide operations. Mr. Halbert holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Trinity.

Philip Kruzinski
Senior Vice President, Engineering
Joining Brilliant in 2008, Mr. Kruzinski came from OnSite Systems where he was vice president of engineering. Prior to OnSite, Mr. Kruzinski was director of hardware/FPGA engineering for Luminous Networks and for Alidian Networks. Before that, Mr. Kruzinski was in management at Nortel/Bay Networks. Mr. Kruzinski holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from University of Illinois and an M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Santa Clara.

William Reid
Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales
Mr. Reid joined Brilliant in 2008 from Covergence where he was vice president of worldwide sales. Prior to Covergence, Mr. Reid was vice president of worldwide sales and customer service for Kagoor Inc. which was acquired by Juniper Networks where he served as vice president of sales for the session boarder controls division. Previously, Mr. Reid was vice president of sales at Luminous Networks. Prior to that role, he was a global account manager at Cisco where he earned the Top Gun award twice. Mr. Reid holds a B.S. in business administration from the College of New Jersey.

George Zhao
Vice President, Product Development
Mr. Zhao joined Brilliant Telecommunications in 2006. Before joining Brilliant, Mr. Zhao was CEO at Sipod Inc., an Internet-based collaboration and mobile click-to-call platform provider in China, responsible for product strategy and development, technology management, strategic partnership, and customer communications. Prior to Sipod, Mr. Zhao was vice president, system engineering at Global Lambdalinks where he led the engineering group developing a multi-service 10Gig Metro Ethernet service platform. Mr. Zhao also held management and engineering positions at Luminous, Cisco and Alcatel. Mr. Zhao holds a masters degree in mathematics from Fordham University in New York and a bachelor degree from Fudan University, China.

Srinivas Bangalore
General Manager and Vice President, OEM/IP business unit
Mr. Bangalore has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry in various management roles spanning hardware and software development, engineering management, marketing and business development. Prior to joining Brilliant in 2007, Srinivas led the systems engineering team at Symmetricom to investigate next-generation synchronization technologies. Prior to Symmetricom, Mr. Bangalore was part of Hewlett-Packard's synchronization solutions group. Prior to HP, he was co-founder and vice president of technology at Rising Edge, a technology consulting company that helped develop India’s first operational ISDN exchange. Mr. Bangalore received a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in India and a master’s degree in business administration from The Wharton School of Business.
